water cycle

This week in science we learned how the water cycle works. We mainly focused on the evaporation part of the cycle. We learned about how the water evaporates into the air and how the molecules evaporate. When the sun heats the water it transfers energy to the particles The energy the sun is transfering is kinetic energy. The kinetic energy makes the particles speed up and spread out. This is how a themometer works. Except the solid particles vibrate causing the particles in the mecury to react. I am starting to understand the water cycle more.
