more evolution

This week in science we learned more about evolution. We learned about the iguanas in the Galapagos. We learned how they got there through gene flow. Such things as water wind and birds brought things to the islands. Also, I think that if the water ever dropped far enough down to creat a land bridge, many orgamisms could have travled across. Friday we had a test that covered everything we learned. I think everyone should have done decent if they were able to grasp the idea of evolution. I am pretty sure I did.

This week in science we learned about natural selection or selective breeding. This tied in with the category of adaption. Adaption is when organisms change over time to best suit their enviorment.The processes that change them are natural selection, mutations, and selective breeding. When change occurs too fast, the organisms will die out because they don't have enough time to adapt. This will cause a drastic change in the population.
