Meiosis mitosis

This week in science we learned more about meiosis. We also learned how it compares to mitosis. Meiosis daughter cells recieve fifty percent of the DNA. Mitosis daughter cells recieve one-hundred percent of the DNA. We also did a sheet on the stages of Meiosis. The stages repete twice because the cell splits twice. What occurs in the second split is similar to what happens in the first. Mitosis and meiosis are becoming clear.

This week in sience learned more about mitosis. I thought that the concept map let everyone see how much they understand the idea of mitosis or asexual reproduction. The concept map used all the terms that are important in mitosis. I connected all of the stages to mitosis and then connected the words that went with the stages. We also had a quiz. It was on chromotids, centrosomes, centromeres, chromotin, centrioles, chromosomes, spindle fibers, and the stages of mitosis. If you understood all of their purposes then the quiz was not that difficult.
